KEATING PARK

Public BBQ

A small neighbourhood park tucked right next to Indooroopilly Shopping Centre, offering a convenient green space in a busy shopping precinct. The park features a shaded kids playground with swings, a slide, and a rope pyramid, along with a large open lawn surrounded by plenty of trees for shade. You'll find BBQ facilities, water fountains, and a couple of picnic tables, plus there are good views of the river. Parking is available along the park or at the adjacent shopping centre. The park attracts native birds including white parrots and has a peaceful, friendly atmosphere where locals are often spotted doing tai chi. However, there are some drawbacks. The park has no public toilets, which is inconvenient for families with kids. The playground could use an upgrade, and some reviewers mention the park can be littered with rubbish from the previous night. Lighting is also poor in the late afternoons. While it's a nice little spot for a quick visit or evening play with the kids, it would benefit from better maintenance and some facility improvements.
